Steve Rydgren
Photographer
My job as a photographer is to tell a story with images. For wedding portraits,
the best ones are usually the spontaneous unscripted moments I capture without you thinking about being photographed. I like to be everywhere and no where. I am patient and very observant. You should enjoy yourself during your special day and be able to re-live it afterwards with beautiful images and albums.
Many people still want to have more traditional family or posed group portraits. For these images, I find out which ones are important to you before your wedding, and I help to schedule and organize them.
For portrait sessions I can come to your home, where you are comfortable, or to a beautiful local park. I love the variety of on location photography, and my portraits are inspired by the light and surroundings.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography from the University of Washington in 2002. I have also taught classes in photography, lighting, and photoshop for Ritz University since 2005.
I married an amazing woman named Stacy last year and we have a young cat Jazz, who entertains us.
Ryan Czaplinski
Videographer / Editor
Film and video have always been a huge part of my life. I have a very cinematic style with my work. Often when I listen to music I can see scenes in my head before I shoot or edit them. When I capture events I pay attention to the details and think about how it will all come together later. Video can be an art form, but also needs to be technically well done.
In my free time I enjoy working on film projects and shorts. I have directed two feature length independent movies and created many smaller shorts. I love watching movies and listening to theatrical scores and soundtracks. I am also a sucker for comedy.
I achieved an AA Degree in Media Communications and Technology, with an additional certificate of achievement in Advanced Video Production. I have also worked for Victory Studios in Seattle and with the Microsoft Video Production team. I’ve worked on projects for clients such as the Seattle Seahawks, Target, Ikea, Streambox, University of Washington, and Starbucks. More recently I served as Cinematographer and Senior Editor on an award-winning short film made for the New York International Fim Festival.
I am currently married to my wonderful Wife Rachelle. My biggest joys in life are spending time with family and friends.
